It’s that time again. Sew Mama Sew is organizing a giveaway on the grand scale – lots of goodies to be had!
I’m giving away one of my Kindle Touch sleeves.
Here it is from the back:
And a peek at the inside:
If you’d like to be entered in the drawing, just leave a comment suggesting a good summer read. Or, just say hi.
The comments will remain open until May 25, 5 pm PST. I’ll email the winner no later than Sunday, May 27. (Please, do be sure your comment either links to your email or includes an email address so I can contact you if you win!)
For those that would like to make a sleeve of your own, you can find the tutorial for making these over in the list of tutorials on the side. If you’d prefer a pdf version that includes a sweet little bird applique (virtue of AccuQuilt GO!), you can download it for free over at PatternSpot. (Also, this earlier blog entry pictures a few other sleeves I made using this pattern).
And for those who either follow my blog or are interested, in a couple days I’ll be posting a look at a new iPad sleeve I’m making up – nothing too fancy, I admit, but designed to be a little more on the go, with a back zipper pocket and an over-the-shoulder strap. You’ll see. Here’s a few peeks in process.
The front flap (with cute kitties):
The back (with a zipper pocket for a wallet and stuff):
And a front under-the- flap pocket for a stylus (or whatever):
But enough of that for now. Let the games begin – and good luck with the giveaways!
Those are fabulous! As far as a good summer read - I'm currently working through "The Vow" (so amazing), "Hunger Games" (too early to tell but so far, wow) and "A Turn in the Road" (always love her books). I would recommend any of these to anyone because I've been thoroughly enjoying them.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite book to read each summer holiday is 'Dear friend and gardener' a series of letters between Beth Chatto and Christopher LLoyd
ReplyDeleteI love hearing about good books. Gotta write these down.
ReplyDeleteCount of Monte Cristo. Way more in depth than the movie. :)
ReplyDeleteHi, my recommendation would be Dark Fire by C J Sansom for an historical detective or Me Before You for a chick-flick read.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a kindle touch, but I do have a regular kindle! If you haven't already read the Hunger Games books you ought to. I think you'd really like them! Thanks for the opportunity to win such a great giveaway! :)

ReplyDeleteI just finished Divergent and the 2nd book Insurgent. Very good reads.
ReplyDeleteI already have a Kindle sleeve, but she could sure use a dress up one ;). I would recommend the Walt Longmire mysteries by Craig Johnson. He just came out with a new one, but you really should start with his first one "The Cold Dish". A & E is starting a series based on this character starting on June 3-I can hardly wait-I do so hope they don't screw it up.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading (or listening) to a lot of YA fiction . Currently Leviathon by Scott Westerfield. Good summer read so far and it's a trilogy with all 3 books available already.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely cover! I don't specifically know any good reads, because I hardly find time to read...though I'm reading blogs today. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win.

ReplyDeleteI just enjoyed reading some Nicole Baart books. Very poetic.
ReplyDeleteOh this is so cute! I don't have a cover for mine as the ones I've seen on Amazon are a bit too pricey, but this is way cuter! I recently read Desperate Housedogs and thought it was good.

ReplyDeleteI am so far behind reading I wouldn't know a good summer read if it slapped me. But I intend to rectify that in a couple of weeks. I am heading off to the lake with my Kindle and sewing machine. And you know what, I never have had a cover for mine.
ReplyDeleteHi! I like your Kindle cover. Thanks for the opportunity to win your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI am LOVING this!! I am currently reading "A Deadly Grind" by Victoria Hamilton. It is aCozy mystery, so it light and fun. The main character collections vintage kitchen items, which I love as well, so I relate!

What a talent. I'd love to win the kindle cover. A great, fun read is Make Mine a Cowboy by Katie Lane. It's the first of a series and will make you laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteNice cover! I'm not sure what is going to be a good summer read. I've just loaded my kindle up with lots of freebies from Amazon. Should keep me busy for a couple of summers :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute! :) I'm currently re-reading the Riftwar Cycle, but it's pretty heavy going if you're not a fantasy fan, I love it!
