Scrappy Lil’ Doll Quilts Challenge

Tracy over at From My Scrapbag is hosting a Scrappy Lil’ Doll Quilt Challenge.  You can find the rules here but, in short, the challenge is to make a doll quilt (no bigger than 20" square)  from scraps, to make it for the challenge, to show only teasers and process photos until the great unveiling, which will be July 24.

Of course I signed up.  That was weeks ago.  Ever notice how time moves differently during the summer?  How it can, on the one hand, seem like it’s moving nice and slo-o-o-w and then, suddenly, you turn  around and, whoa, where did the time go?  So, how did the 24th get to be less than two weeks away?  Uh, I better get going!

Since it would be a pretty fair assessment that my sewing room is like one big scrap bag, how the heck do I choose?

Do I go for batiks?

Or plaids?

Or, my old stand by, Civil War reproductions?

Taupes anyone?

Summertime Blues?

Decisions need to be made.

Meanwhile:  One Last Shout-out

If you haven’t left a comment on my A Quilt Show Giveaway blog entry, hop on over and do so.  In honor of my guest spot, I’m giving away a six-month membership to The Quilt Show with Ricky Tims and Alex Anderson.  (If you haven’t checked out their website, you really should.  It’s got all kinds of goodies to appeal to a quilter’s heart.)  The drawing will be held tomorrow.
